- INSTILLS tolerance, thoughtfulness, consideration, responsibility and celebrating differences in others. The FOCUS is on the HEART of the child, while studying its bend, strengths and passions.
- PRESENTS moral teachings, without doctrines, and encourages children to have IDEALS.
- INSPIRES children "to be all he/she was created to BE."
Montessori Academy is committed to providing the highest quality learning environment for children. Montessori believes in the importance of active involvement of parents in support of their children's learning and academic achievements.
This dynamic program is open to change, continual growth and new ideas.
We believe that an early contact with a Second Language is a strong asset for life. With Ms Inayat, as a French speaking educator, the children are daily in contact with the French language. The children don't only speak in French they also incoporate books and music.
Dedication of the school
The International Montessori Academies of Canada has dedicated this school in the memory of Noor Unissa Inayat Khan. Noor was a heroine of the second World War, and to this day she inspires others with her courage and stance for liberation.
Noor was of French nationality when the war broke out, then she moved to England. It was in England that she received training as a undercover agent for the British. She was trained as the first woman radio operator in the resistance and was one of the few women awarded the George Cross.
Noor worked in the underground service in France for the British. With a strong passion for children, she wrote children's stories for the French newspaper. Noor believed strongly in a non-oppressive way of life for all, and gave her life to the cause of liberation of the oppressed.
